  • Travel to the Bac Ha market (Sundays only), the largest market in the northern region, and interact with friendly Flower H’mong people, and others, who come each week to trade and gossip.
  • Visit the new and impressive Chua Bai Dinh Buddhist complex, Ninh Binh, one of the largest Buddhist complexes in all of Asia.
  • Go hiking in Cuc Phong National Park, and visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre, and if your stay is in April or May, see some of the millions of butterflies that breed here.
  • Enjoy a guided tour of Bat Trang Ceramic Village and Van Phuc silk village, to see the production of their offerings, from the beginning to the finished products.

ITINERARY in detail


Day 1: Hanoi - Arrival

  • Met and welcomed by your guide upon arrival
  • Transfer to hotel by private car
  • Enjoy free time at your leisure
  • Enjoy a traditional cyclo ride of exploration through the busy streets of the ‘Old Quarter’
    • Enjoy a water puppet show, a traditional and ancient art form, unique to Vietnam
  • Overnight at a hotel in Hanoi.




Day 2: Hanoi - City tour  - transfer by car - Sapa

  • Visit outside Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum to see the embalmed body of the nation’s hero
  • Visit the One Pillar Pagoda
  • Visit the Temple of Literature
  • Enjoy traditional lunch "Cha Ca"- grilled fish
  • Transfer by car on highway to Sapa ( 5,5 Hours). 
  • Overnight at hotel in Sapa town

Day 3: Sapa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van


  • Discover Sapa for a day of hiking to meet ethnic minorities in their homelands, in the heart of rice fields
  • Visit the village of Y Linh Ho in Muong Hoa valley
  • Trek for about 6 km through landscapes of terraced rice fields to Lao Chai village, home of the Black H'mong minority group.
  • Meet people proudly dressed in their distinct identifying costumes
  • Walk a distance of 2 km to the Ta Van Giay village inhabited by other ethnic groups
  • Overnight at a homestay in Ta Van village including breakfast.

Day 4: Ta Van - Ma Tra - Ta Phin - Bac Ha


  • Commence the day with a hike to the Ma Tra village of Black H’mong, along narrow trails, through pine forests, and wonderful gardens
  • Trek to Ta Phin village, home to the Red Dzao ethnic minority group
  • Trek for 1 km to a large cave called Ti O Cam, under a mountain
  • Transfer to Bac Ha town passing many tea plantations and small villages
  • Overnight at a hotel in Bac Ha including breakfast.


Day 5: Bac Ha - Ha Giang

  • Attend the Bac Ha Area Market, probably the most colorful market in all of Northern Vietnam with local handicrafts, rice wine, fresh fruit, meat and live animals
  • Pay a visit to the H’mong Kings House (King Hoang A Tuong), built by the French in 1920
  • Visit Ban Pho village and meet with the colorful Tay and H’mong inhabitants
  • Drive to passing many tea plantations and small villages
  • Arrive in Ha Giang late in the afternoon
  • Overnight at a hotel in Ha Giang including breakfast.

Day 6: Ha Giang - Yen Ninh - Dong Van


  • Depart for Dong Van via mountainous roads and through breathtaking valleys
  • Visit the Bo Y Village and Binh Yen Standing Stone
  • Visit the H’mong village of Lung Tam
  • Visit the village of Lo Lo only in this region
  • Visit the Royal Palace of King Vuong Chi Sinh Hmong, a famous historical site dating from the colonial era.
  • Overnight at a hotel in Dong Van including breakfast.


Day 7: Dong Van - Meo Vac -  Bao Lac


  • Visit the Dong Van market and Saphin market as well as Vua Meo, the Palace of the King of H’Mong
  • Depart for Meo Vac via the Ma Pi Leng Pass of over 2000m
  • Hiking along the Mount Ma Phi Leng to contemplate a beautiful view over the valley
  • Visit Meo Vac town, the end of Stone Global Park, time to take many nice picture of this areas... 
  • Transfer to Bao Lac
  • Overnight in Guesthouse in Bao Lac



Day 8: Bao Lac - Ba Be Lake 



  • After breakfast, we transfer to visit Black Lo Lo Villages, Take a short walk to the villages, you will see the people, house and villages of the special minotity in North Vietnam.
  • Then transfer to Ba Be National Park. 
  • Check in homestay of Tay People in the villages by the Lake - Ba Be lake is the biggest natural lake in Vietnam, you will have time to discover the villages, do small trek in the national park.
  • Enjoy dinner and overnight in stilt-house homestay.


Day 9: Ba Be Lake discovery - Hanoi


  • After breakfast we will discover Ba Be lake by boat, on the way you will visit the Puong Cave, Dau Dang waterfall and the villages of local minorities by the river and the lake. 
  • Lunch will be serve in the small town on the way back to Hanoi 
  • Arrival Hanoi around 5:00pm and tour end at your hotel
