Begin the journey by unraveling Vietnamese culture, history, and religion in the capital of Vietnam with Hanoi’s highlights:
Leaving Hanoi in the morning we travel south to Duyen Thai Village to see the process of lacquerware production. The village has been making lacquerware for generations and nearly all families here have a role in the making of these beautiful creations. We then continue our journey to Van Phuc silk village where some establishments continue to produce pure silk garments on the loom, still using century old dying methods.
After lunch we travel to Dong Ky village to see craftsmen making all descriptions of furniture including some articles inlaid with mother of pearl, a process handed down by families, generation to generation. Our day concludes with a stop at Dong Ho paper making village. All the paper produced here is hand made using ancient techniques and much made using only natural products.
After completion of our tour we return to Hanoi.
