Krabi Night Market

As for the Krabi night market, it would be hard to discuss it without mentioning the Ao Nang night market. It is well-known among tourists as a location to dine and shop for less money. You may take a tuk tuk or a cab to get to this market, and can entirely bargain the price for a decent and reasonable service pricing.

When you visit, you must definitely taste the foods at the market, including the renowned Tori cake, papaya salad, etc. Numerous items, such as handcrafted fragrance soaps and silk goods, are available for purchase here. You may also get hand-woven silk with great elegance and a variety of colors, patterns, and textures in the Ao Nang night market. As a result, visitors can opt to purchase silk clothing and bags as presents for friends and family. Additionally, people may take in street art acts including music, a circus, and more. All of these factors contribute to the market’s crowded and bustling atmosphere.

Poda Island

The Island is also known as Poda Island and is the largest of the four islands that make up the Poda Group of Islands. Poda is famous for its extremely white sand beaches, coral reefs, and clear turquoise sea combined with unspoiled beauty this is one of Krabi’s main tourist attractions. This will probably be the island that is spent the most time out of the 4 islands so that you can experience from food to entertainment with many activities: swimming, sunbathing, diving, …

Chicken Island

This small and unusually shaped island is located close to the south of the Poda and Tup Islands, about 30 minutes via longtail boat from Krabi’s west coast. Koh Kai, Koh Gai, and Koh Hua Khwan are all names for Chicken Island. However, it is better known as Chicken Island because of a massive rock structure that resembles the head and neck of a chicken. At low tide, a sandbar emerges from the ocean, which distinguishes this location from the other islands in the Krabi area. You may attempt snorkeling around the seas, which are beautiful with spectacular coral reefs and plenty of tropical fish.

Tup Island

Tup Island (Koh Tap, or Koh Thap) is a popular offshore island for day journeys and tours in Krabi. Koh Tap is located in the Mu Koh Poda archipelago between Koh Poda and Chicken Island, about south west of Ao Nang. This is much smaller than the other islands in the group, but it has a wonderful beach and the seas around it are great for snorkeling with a variety of tropical species. It is best to wear reef shoes or flip-flops when strolling on the sandbar since sharp corals and shells protrude from the sea, making it rather painful underfoot.

Khao Hon Nak Mountant

Khao Hon Nak is one of the limestone mountains of Krabi region with a unique snake shape. Experiencing the Khao Hon Nak limestone climbing journey will be one of the interesting activities when you spend time here. When you reach a certain height, you can zoom in on the panoramic view of the majestic mountains and capture Krabi in sight.

Khao Phanom Bencha National Park

This national forest is also the perfect place for you to join exploration tours, walks or even experience living right in the forest because the weather and climate in this region is cool all year round.

Hot Springs in Krabi

Krabi hot spring is in Thailand’s southern province of Krabi, in the district of Khlong Thom. This geothermal area is home to several thermal springs, but the greatest one to see is the Krabi Hot Stream. It is close to the well-known Emerald and Blue Pools of the Khao Phra Bang Khram Nature Reserve. A wonderful hot spring waterfall at this location offers a naturally occurring mineral-rich soak akin to a jacuzzi before emptying into a cool, refreshing river.

Thai cooking classes in Krabi

As you can see, Thai cuisine is rather wonderful even the most straightforward meals, like fried rice, are excellent. I advise you to take advantage of the chance to attend a cooking class in Krabi if you want to learn how to prepare the regional specialties once you go home. You will leave with a recipe booklet in addition to learning how to prepare four dishes and tasting them. The fact that each individual may select the meals they wish to make, such as a green curry, Pad Thai pad, spicy shrimp soup, coconut milk chicken, sticky mango rice, etc., is also something I find to be quite wonderful.

Krabi is a destination that not only attracts foreign tourists but also attracts a lot of domestic tourists so I will suggest how to get from a few places in Thailand to Krabi on below.

From BangKok

By Plane
There are many ways to get from Bangkok to Krabi, but traveling by plane is the fastest and most time-saving way. Airlines flying directly from Bangkok to Krabi include Thai Smile, Thai Airways, Bangkok Air, AirAsia, Vietjet, and Hahn Air. The distance between the two places is about 655 km, so the flight will take about 1 hour 20 minutes. However, the time depends on each airline and they also have different prices.

By Bus
About 13 hours are needed to travel the distance about 780 kilometers by bus from Bangkok to Krabi. Bus routes between Bangkok and Krabi are run by Thai Sriram Travel and The Transport Company, with the route beginning at Bangkok Mochit Bus Depot. It is advisable to confirm well in advance, though, as plans for vacations and holidays sometimes differ.

By Taxi/Car
Taxis are widely available in Bangkok, and you may take one to Krabi. You should prepare ahead of time because the journey might take up to 11 hours. Choosing whether you wish to be picked up from a hotel or an airport. Visitors can usually take a break whenever you like. A cab from Bangkok to Krabi costs between $362 and $500, depending on the number of passengers in the car and the standard of luxury.

From Phuket

By Ferry/ Speedboat
Traveling between Phuket and Krabi by ferry is quite convenient because the distance between the two places when transfering by ferry is only about 50 km. Based on average speed it usually takes about 2 hours to get from Phuket to Krabi. However depending on weather conditions and type of ferry the time could be faster or slower. This is definitely a great opportunity for visitors to move around while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

By Taxi
Traveling from Phuket to Krabi by taxi is probably the most comfortable option if you are seasick and cannot take the ferry. The price is similar to the ferry price, but when choosing a taxi, you will be more flexible about the pick up point and time. If it is a family trip with both young children and the elderly, I recommend choosing a taxi to move more comfortably.

By Bus
Travel by bus is the cheapest means of transport, but traveling will take time and is uncomfortable compared to trains and taxis. There are also buses a day from 7:30am to 9:30pm so you won’t have to worry about waiting too long. Taking the bus is also a way to experience and talk to the locals.
