Day 1Ho Chi Minh - Arrival

Your adventure in Vietnam has started.

  • You will be welcomed at the airport then transferred to your arranged hotel for relaxation.

Day 2Ho Chi Minh - City Tour

Wake up in Saigon (currently Ho Chi Minh City), the city that varies from the rest of Vietnam due to its modern flair.

  • Start the day by visiting Thien Hau Temple and the Binh Tay Market, built by the Cantonese congregation.
  • Visit the War Remnants Museum that is home to the history of locals’ perspectives of the American/Vietnam War.
  • The old Presidential Palace is where victory was declared after years of fighting and is preserved as found with vehicles still in the garages.
  • Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Saigon Post Office which are both magnificent displays of French architecture.
  • Overnight in Ho Chi Minh

Day 3Ho Chi Minh - Cao Dai Temple & Cu Chi Tunnels

Venture away from Saigon, through rural scenes, to encounter mysterious religious practices and unusual sites of preserved history:

  • Investigate the unique Cao Dai Temple, and be launched into this melting pot of Eastern and Western theologies.
  • Witness the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, and scramble through part of an unbelievably complex system of tunnels built by the Vietnamese resistance fighters.

Day 4Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta - CRUISE & NIGHT on board

Board a grand, yet homely cruiseliner and embark on a leisurely three-day cruise. Depart Saigon and head for the rich, fertile lands of the Mekong Delta region and its extraordinarily busy inhabitants:

    Meet us at Phu An Jetty at 10:00 am and start with a bicycle ride around this picturesque rural area, ending up at Le Longanier Restaurant. Lunch is served in this exquisite colonial-style villa set in a lush tropical garden by the river. After lunch, board the Song Xanh Sampan for a leisurely cruise on the busy waterways of the Mekong Delta, with stops along the way to visit an ancient house in Dong Hoa Hiep village and local cottage industries that utilize products from the Delta like rice and coconuts. As we make our way down this famous river take in the local life as you pass by fisher folk checking their daily catch and floating houses imperceivably balanced on the mighty Mekong. Tonight, dinner is served on board the vessel.

Day 5CRUISE & NIGHT on board

After breakfast on board, cruise towards Vinh Long along a narrow river, passing several houses on stilts to arrive at Cai Tau Ha, a quaint village. Take a stroll along the riverbank to visit a temple which makes traditional medicine from herbs or walk further into the village to see how black-smiths make a variety of common farming tools and iron objects for everyday life.
Lunch is then served back on board before we make another foray into a clay pot factory in Vinh long. We will then head back to our sampan to further explore the small tributaries of the river.
The last stopover before sunset is a charming outdoor market where you can see how people sell local materials such as agricultural products, farming tools and fishing tools. Observe the endless boat traffic and the quiet but constant activity along the banks. Enjoy shore excursions to gain insight into how the local people make living, and stop for a visit to a Cao Dai temple. Return on board for dinner while the Song Xanh continues its cruise towards the Hau River.

Day 6CRUISE - HCM - FLY - Phnom Penh

We set off early at about 6:30 am to visit the famous Cai Rang Floating Market. Breakfast is served on board while the Song Xanh navigates towards the market among local
barges laden with fruit and vegetables. Be sure to have your camera ready for photos from this unique vantage point! Later on, cruise towards Victoria Can Tho and return to HCM City to fly to Phnom Penh.

Day 7Phnom Penh - Highlights

Learn about the tragedy of the recent past under the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. Afterward, be swept away in the sensations of Phnom Penh’s spectacular architecture.

  • Take in the sombre atmosphere of the camp Choeng Ek Killing Field, outside Phnom Penh, the final resting place of many Cambodian people, murdered by the brutal Khmer Rouge regime.
  • Be educated about the nation’s past at the Museum of Genocidal Crime, which was the S-21 prison – the scene of the worst examples of brutality and torture under the infamous Pol Pot.
  • Visit the Royal Palace, resplendent in its gold edifice and traditional Khmer architecture.
  • See the Silver Pagoda and its magnificent Emerald Buddha.
  • Fascinating Khmer crafts await your inspection at the National Museum of Fine Arts.

Day 8Phnom Penh - Kampong Cham (Mekong)

After breakfast, we travel northeast and take a local ferry across the mighty Mekong River. Disembark at Koh Dach Island, home to a vibrant community of weavers who have been practicing their craft for generations.

Once on the island. Watch as skilled artisans transform silk threads into beautiful scarves, fabrics, and other textiles. A local guide will explain the different stages of silk production, from raising silkworms to dyeing and weaving the threads. You will learn about the cultural significance of silk weaving in Cambodia and the traditional techniques that have been passed down through generations.

After the visit, Continue to Kampong Cham, a peaceful town on the banks of the Mekong. On the way, We will visit Wat Nokor, a wat built within the ruins of an ancient temple that holds a timeless story and continue visit Phnom Pros Phnom Srey Mountain.

Day 9Kampong Cham (Mekong) - Kamong Chnang (Tonle) - Battambang

Today we have almost a three hour drive to Kampog Chhang. Leave the hustle and bustle of Kampong Cham behind as you head north to Kampong Luong which is a village of goldsmiths. Watch silversmiths create ornate and fashionable silverware. Learn how the community makes pottery in the traditional way and see how sugar is collected from the sugar palm trees. Let your guide help you translate if you want to learn more about village life.

Transfer to Battambang and check-in at the hotel at the end of the afternoon. Enjoy the hotel facilities and relax until you are taken to experience the best element of Battamang. Enjoy a bamboo train ride to admire the real landscape of the countryside and observe the daily activities of the indigenous people.

End of the day with a visit to Phnom Sampeau, a massive limestone outcrop which is dissected by numerous caves, some of which are more accessible than others. Some caves contain unexpected memories of Cambodia’s turbulent history.
Every evening as night falls, thousands of bats emerge from hillside caves to feed before returning at dawn. This natural phenomenon is truly a “must see” for the visitor.

Day 10Battambang - Siem Reap

Morning transfer from Battambang to Siem Reap.
On the way to the next destination, visit Banteay Charm Temple then continue to a floating community, arrives at the dock to board a motor boat to visit a village of floating houses where offers an incredible natural phenomenon to make their living from the lake in a respectful and meaningful way. It is a great chance to witness one of the most amazing natural wonders of Cambodia and the world. Return to Siem Reap.

Day 11Siem Reap - Angkor Wat - Angkor Thom

Arriving in Angkor Wat and rove among the ruins of the world’s most famous Hindu temple complexes, built for gods, and fit for kings.

  • Gaze upon the fascinating Buddhist monastery of Ta Phrom, where the jungle threatens to reclaim all stone structures.
  • Visit the three-tiered Baphuon (a temple in honour of another Hindu deity, Shiva) with its spectacular layered structure.
  • Pass through the Terrace of the Elephants, once a viewing platform for kings.
  • See the Terrace of the Leper King with its beautiful carvings of gods, nagas (semi-divine serpents), and dancers.
  • Visit the Royal Enclosure and its small temple, Phimeanakas. These ruins are particularly significant as they date from the 10th century.
  • Overnight in Siem Reap

Day 12Siem Reap - Three Buddhist Temples - Roluos Group

Go back to where it all started, and view some of the earliest temples in Siem Reap, heralding the start of Khmer architecture.

  • Leave behind the crowds of tourists and view the less-appreciated, but newly restored Ta Som temple.
  • Delve deeper into Angkor Wat, and get a sense of true history in the Buddhist sites patronised by King Jayavarman VII, including the Angkorian monastery of the “sacred sword”.
  • Discover the Roluos Group, and its three main temples, dedicated to Shiva.
  • Prepare to be dumbfounded by incredibly intricate sandstone carvings at Temple Lolei.
  • Visualise the first Angkorian capital city, by gazing at the remains of Bakong Temple, which was the city’s focal point for worship and rituals.
