This morning begins with a drive to Nameo Village where today’s trek begins. The absolute beauty of this area is on display as we pass through forests, terraced rice paddies and villages on this meandering walk. We will spend tonight in a comfortable but simple home-stay in Buoc Valley.
Walking 3-4 hours
This morning we have a four hour trek to reach the village of Van Mai where, on arrival, we will enjoy a well deserved lunch. A boat ride on the Ma River awaits us in the afternoon, during which we will see the other side of this spectacular valley. The option for your evening is another village home-stay, or a night at the Mai Chau Lodge.
Walking 4-5 hours
The final day of this journey will begin with a short 1-2hr walk to Xalinh Village where we get a glimpse into the lives and lifestyles of the Hmong ethnic minority. If you are here on a Sunday you will witness their colorful market in full swing.
