  • Adapt your lenses to the aquatic environment of Inle Lake and capture the daily life of the lake population. 
  • Get to the Golden rock at best moments of the day to photograph the most of this gigantesque rock hanging on the edge of a cliff. Get your wide-angle lenses to capture the landscape from Mount Kyaikhtiyo.
  • Stroll freely in the streets mystic city of Yangon and photograph the most beautiful places of the city such as Shwesandaw Pagoda. Hunt for the colonial quarter gems and capture moments of the population daily life.

ITINERARY

Day 1YANGON - Arrival

A Hanoi Voyages representative will welcome you when you arrive at the airport and transfer you to your arranged accommodation where check-in time is 14:00 pm.

Shooting opportunities

  • Street photography around  the downtown area of Yangon. Optional visit to Yangon’ train station in the afternoon to photograph lives on train station
  • Free shooting around the pagoda platform of Famous Shwedagon Pagoda.

As an introduction to Myanmarese cuisine and culture, a Welcome Dinner with a Hanoi Voyages representative will be used as an opportunity to clarify and review your itinerary. Let the excitement commence!

Day 2 Yangon - FLY - Bagan

Settle into a morning flight from Yangon to Bagan.

  • Stroll around the Market ground of Nyaung U Market in search of the wonderful moments of daily life and interactions between people
  • Great chance for shooting at long colonnade with the shadow of concrete pillars while visiting Shwezigon pagoda, a 1000-year-old Buddhist stupa whose glittering golden bell-shaped dome became a model for pagodas throughout Burma
  • Indoor shot with set up photo secession with young Buddhist novices in one of the Buddhist temple
  • Lunch break then refreshing and relaxing at the hotel
  • Shooting the farm animals coming back on the dusty road near Sularmuni Temple
  • Sunset shots from Pyathatgyi, one of the best temple of Bagan

Day 3Bagan - Highlights

Bagan – one of the world’s wonder alongside Angkor in Cambodia and Borobodur in Indonesia

  • Sunrise shots from one of the most secret corner pagoda in Bagan
  • Indoor shots inside the temple with natural rays coming through the perforated window while exploring highlights of Bagan through your lens
  • Lunch break then refreshing and relaxing at the hotel
  • Explore the less touristic local village for shooting village photos (a few photo secession will be arranged to shoot Lacquerware maker or designer at Lacquerware factory in the village

Day 4Bagan - FLY - Mandalay - Highlights

Mandalay – second largest city in Myanmar, a population of one million souls and busy economic hub of the top half of Burma and is home for plenty of famous sights which including the most photogenic and interesting insights

  • Explore around the street of the stone sculptor, where men attack blocks of white marble with drills and angle-grinders
  • Visit the village of Shan Kalay island located by Ayeyarwaddy River
  • Lunch break then refreshing and relaxing at the hotel
  • Indoor shooting opportunities at Wooden Monastery of Shwe Inn Bin In
  • Street and wholesale fish market photography and sunset shot around riverside of Mandalay

Day 5Mandalay - Amarapura - Sagaing - Mingun - Boat - Mandalay

A hectic day ahead to challenge enthusiasm for the whole day sightseeing without a little break at the hotel before the sun come up till the sun is completely down.

  • Free sunrise shots at U Bein Bridge, the world’s longest teak footbridge of 1.2 km It’s a hugely photogenic structure. It stretches across Thaungthaman Lake it comes alive in every sense as dawn approaches. Monks in a crimson cross from one end to the other; fishermen cast their nets in the still waters, and the occasional cyclist adds more movement and backlit geometry to the scene. you’ll have captured dozens of great images: after making the classic shots nearby the wooden bridge.
  • Make the most iconic photos of young Buddhist nuns praying, meditating with a special arrangement at one of the secret places for professional photographers in Sagaing’s impressive nunnery
  • Free shooting around Mingun with Massive Mingun Pagoda (Pa Htoe Daw Gyi) and some organized photo secession at unique architectural Myatheindan stupa with Buddhist nuns
  • Make the best portraitures of elderly men and women with distinguished looks at Home For Ages in Mingun

Day 6Mandalay - Monywa

Leave Mandalay for Monywa (180km away from Mandalay)

  • Optional Sunrise shots from around the corner of the moat of Mandalay Palace
  • Stop at Kaung Mu Daw Pagoda in Sagaing for shooting
  • Visit local villages on the way to Monywa with tropical plantation field
  • Shooting around the river bank of Chindwin River and hunting sunset

Day 7Monywa - Poe Win Taung - Mandalay

Excursion to Poe Win Taung located beyond Chindwin river –transfer to jetty and take the ferry boat to cross Chindwin river and one hour drive to Poe Win Taung “ Natural Cave “

Day 8Mandalay - FLY - Heho - Inle - BOAT TRIP

Settle into a morning flight from Mandalay to Heho. Arrive and

  • Indoor shot Shwe Yan Pyay Wooden Monastery, famous for its Oval shaped window
  • Take a boat ride from Nyaung Shwe to the hotel in Inle for a short break
  • Free silhouettes shots of fishermen during the sunset

Day 9Inle - Indein - BOAT TRIP

Boat down to the west of Inle Lake through a long narrow canal to Indein village, known for its market and two groups of ancient pagodas

  • A visit to Indein Fiver Day Market local market to photograph market activities, tribal people in their traditional clothes then walking up to pagoda complex of Shwe Inn Dein
  • Free shooting at a traditional hand weaving workshop in Paw Khone Village
  • Sunset shots around floating garden area

Day 10Inle - Shwe Nyaung - TRAIN - Augn Ban - Pindaya - Kan Hla Kone village

Travel from Inle to Kan Hla Kone village, a little village of Pa O Tribe where they grow oranges – tea leaves and other seasonal plantation which is the best village to discover the daily lives of hill tribes through your lens and the village activities

  • Experiencing train ride down to Heho from Shwe Nyaung
  • Best shooting opportunities for landscape photography and take a light trekking to Kan Hla Kone from Pindaya
  • Stay in a Homestay at Monastery village of Kan Hla Kone

Day 11Kan Hla Kone - Pindaya - Heho - FLY - Yangon

Early morning free shooting around the village with morning light and then enjoy the breakfast at village monastery then trek down to Pindaya

Day 12Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo - Golden Rock

Set off for a pleasant drive to Kyaikhtiyo, home to one of Myanmar’s most well-known landmarks. Renowned for its unstable location and religious significance, the ‘Golden Rock’ is a massive boulder covered entirely in gold leaf and precariously balanced right on the edge of a jagged cliff.

  • Allied War memorial park near Htauk Kyan, the final resting place for over 27,000 Allied soldiers where you can make a brief stop.
  • Kin Pun, a small town at the foot of the mountain, switch vehicles to a public local truck for a winding, exhilarating ride to the top of the mountain

Day 13Golden Rock - Bago - Yangon

Visit the Golden Rock

  • Merge in a totally different atmosphere gazing at the glinting boulder bathing in the purple and misty light of dawn.
  • Explore several stupas and shrines scattered on the ridge at the top of Mount Kyaikhtiyo

Take a return trip to Yangon, en route in Bago to explore the former capital of the Mon Kingdom

  • Browse through the colourful local market where vendors sell flowers, produce and spices
  • Visit a thousand-years old Shwemawdaw Pagoda which features a spire taller than the one of Shwedagon Pagoda and the 55-meter long Shwe Tha Lyaung Buddha, which is recognized as one of the country’s most extraordinary images

Be enchanted by the awesome Temples of Angkor and the history of Khmer Kings discovered at the magnificent UNESCO Heritage site.

Day 1 – SAIGON – FLY – SIEM REAP   Settle into a flight from Saigon to Siem Reap. Arrive and be welcomed by our guide and be transferred to your arranged accommodation. Overnight in a hotel with breakfast.

Day 2 – SIEM REAP – ANGKOR THOM – TA PHROM – ANGKOR WAT   Arriving in Angkor Wat, you will rove among the ruins of the world’s most famous Hindu temple complexes, built for gods, and fit for kings: Baphuon (a temple in honour of another Hindu deity, Shiva) with its spectacular layered structure, the Terrace of the Leper King with its beautiful carvings of gods, nagas, and dancers; the Royal Enclosure and its small and particularly significant temple, Phimeanakas. Overnight in a hotel with breakfast.

 

Day 3 – SIEM REAP – BANTEAY SREI – BANTEAY SAMRE Advance to an off-the-beaten-track site, an hour away from Angkor Wat, encountering stunning Cambodian countryside and uncovering more temples: visit Banteay Srei, called the citadel of women and come face to face with the meticulously restored enclosed temple of Banteay Samre, complete with carvings of lions and nagas. Overnight in a hotel with breakfast.

Day 4 – SIEM REAP – TONLE SAP – Departure Travel to Tonle Sap and find yourself surrounded by a completely aquatic landscape, see how everyday life is transformed by its proximity to and dependence on water. Free time until your transfer to the airport for your departure flight
